This course will teach you how to work with parametric surface modeling in CREO Parametric. Working with surfaces is a powerful and flexible way of building models that can be difficult to construct using solid modeling techniques. The techniques are useful for creating organic, ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing shapes, but many of the tools used can also be used to build better and more robust solid models. An understanding of surface modeling is a useful tool for most CAD designers.
- Basic Surfaces
- Construction Geometry
- Advanced Surfaces
- Merge Surfaces
- Offset, Solidify and Thicken
- Copy and Paste
- Trim and Extend
- Special Surface Features
- Geometry Analysis
- Imported Surfaces
Please note that the Style and Freestyle tools are not covered in this course.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Create parts using a variety of surfacing techniques
- Solidify the resulting geometry
- Modify solid models through the use of surface features
Designers who want to be able to create more complex, organic shapes, as well as any designers who want to expand their toolbox for part creation in CREO Parametric.
